Committees and District Consultants

Committees

The Board hereby establishes the Communications and Public Relations, Security,
Landscaping, Building and Facilities, and Website Subcommittees, each comprised
of no more than two Board members as selected by the Board.

Communications and Public Relations Subcommittee: Mike Smith and Tahir Charles

The responsibilities of the Communications and Public Relations Subcommittee are:

Develop and recommend protocols for all external communications.
Ensure that communication protocols are followed.
Coordinate requests for responses from the media.
Coordinate communications and media at all District events.
Communicate with District residents, as appropriate.

Security Subcommittee: AK Babers and Tahir Charles

The responsibilities of the Security Subcommittee are:

Make recommendations to the Board about security personnel and equipment.
Conduct periodic evaluations of District security systems.
Coordinate with District Security in cases of emergency.
Conduct periodic evaluations of District Security.
Coordinate with District Security to review and manage the District’s security protocols and make recommendations to the Board.

Landscaping Subcommittee: Mike Smith and Naomi Smith

The responsibilities of the Landscaping Subcommittee are:

Oversee the operations of District mowing.
Coordinate with vendors responsible for maintaining District grounds.
Conduct periodic evaluations of the District’s landscape vendors.
Make recommendations to the Board regarding potential vendors and landscape-related maintenance.
Respond to community concerns regarding landscaping.

Website Subcommittee: AK Babers and Naomi Smith

The responsibilities of the Website Subcommittee are:

Ensure that the District website meets legal requirements.
Make recommendations to the Board about District webmasters.
Coordinate with the webmaster to post Board-approved information on the District website.
Conduct periodic evaluations of the District webmaster.

District Building Subcommittee: Mike Smith and Naomi Smith

Finance Subcommittee: Tahir Charles and Byron Watson
